DAA. EVENTS AND ABSTRACTIONS
Physics' terminology is strictly limited to symbols of
its formulas and metalanguage words unambiguously
denoting them. Some, like force, speed, temperature,
acceleration are Projections of observable events, or
"Images", which, by regression, are their meaning or
"phenomenal sense".
Other ones, like mass, heat, energy, are Auxiliaries,
instrumental in incorporating Projections into formulas.
Their Images represent their Meaning, but confusing them
with "reality" amounts to illegitimate reifications,
phantasies and illusions.
Most linguistic terms are neither physical Projections, nor
Auxiliaries i.e. have no physical sense and are absent from
physical terminology. Some, used as metalanguage shortcuts,
are abusively reified by ignorant vulgarizations, by
"educational" handbooks and by pseudo-philosophy, which
results in hopelessly muddled common view of physics.
Perhaps the most dangerous, not only for physics, but also
- in its pseudo-philosophical abuse - for the society, is
"matter".
Cognizant physicists use sometimes "matter" as a metalanguage
shortcut, a collective name denoting sets of "discretized
or quantized high density Field areas", alias "particles".
In any other "philosophical" or "scientific" usage it is a
meaningless empty noise, whose phantasmagoric reifications
may becomes dangerous and - underlying a "materialistic"
ideology - send millions to death in Gulag, in the name of
the Idea of "Matter".
A puzzling paradox for Materialists: "Matter" being a pure
Idea, Materialists are in fact Idealists.
